About us:-

Taking a leaf from the ancient saying "Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam" a voluntary organization named Kutumb Trust was created in May 1999 (DN-IV-226, dated 26/05/1999), by some intellectuals of Bihar. It aims at composite development of Bihar focusing primarily on universalization of Primary Education, Women Empowerment and Employment Generation, In last sixteen years time we have helped more than four thousand educated girls to become educational entrepreneurs and helped more than ten thousand children to become literate and better educated.

Main Aims And Objective of the Trust:-

• Help improve the primary, secondary and vocational education.
• To provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students reading in primary, secondary and vocational schools.
• Establishing of rehabilitation homes (old age homes) for senior citizen.
• Run and maintain health centres for poor and needy people.
• Run and maintain, care and rehabilitation centers for child labourers.

Present Focus Area:-
Our present focus area is ward nos. 54, 55, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68 & 69 of Patna city. Patna City is very backward in terms of female education. From February 2018 we have taken the Phulwarisarif area as the new focus area. As in Patna City we are trying to create capacity building classes and non formal education centres here. In this area, presently, we are having two capacity building classes and one non formal education centre. In financial year 2018-2019 we will try to have atleast 100 home school centres and 5 non formal education centres. The Phulwarisharif area is to be made equal to the Patna City area i.e. having more than 300 home school teachers.

Education centres for elderly illiterate girls/boys (07 to 15 years):-
Presently we are running five such education centres mainly for girls. There are some boys also but their number has been kept low. These children are coming for better education. A few elderly girls are also coming to get educated. In February 2018 we have planned to get a few more non formal education centres.

Home School Project (Main project of the Trust):-
Home School Project is our own developed project. Assuming educated girls and ladies as our target teachers, we give them teaching of English, Hindi and Mathematics up to class five and ask them to become Home School Teachers or Educational Entrepreneurs and start earning according to their capabilities and paying capacity of the parents. Our is the method of "Read and Learn : Teach and Earn". For these Home School Teachers we run nearly fifteen number of Capacity Building classes (February 2018). Our organization helps these teachers in searching students for tuition. We also evaluate their progress and the progress of their students at regular interval. Presently we are working with more than three hundred such teachers of Patna city. Rajender Nagar and Bajrangpuri areas (331 in January 2018). In February 2018 we have taken the new area Phulwarisharif for our home school project. The Project is very economical and with small amount of money our presence in Patna City, Rajender Nagar and Bajrangpuri is remarkable.

Future Planning:-
From February 2018 we started moving from Patna city (East Patna) to Phulwarisharif (West Patna). After a year we think we can cover the whole Patna with our home school teachers and many non formal education centres.
